My name is Brooke Kalynn and I am an oil painter, cat mom, and Appalachian State University graduate from North Carolina.

My personal artistic practice derives from the idea of growth and decay in the natural world mirroring interpersonal change. I spent a large portion of my young adult years living in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, and the rivers and forests there shaped me into who I am today. By spending time in nature, I found a deep love for myself, others, and my artistic practice. I am grateful to have studied Studio Art at Appalachian State University alongside my inspiring peers and professors, and I hope to continue my studies in the future.

I am a stronger, and more confident woman because of the women around me. It is a beautiful experience to be able to work with Rebel & Rose, and to be able to represent this unique and inspiring studio through documentation and content creation. There is something quite wonderful about providing a safe space within a body modification studio that I would love to capture and share so that more people can feel the love that I feel here. Greeting clients into our space as well as watching them leave with a big smile is rewarding and I am thrilled to meet you all and be a part of Rebel & Rose!
